The watermark is the thing most meme makers get wrong. Plenty of generators stamp their own branding across the bottom of every image, which makes the result look like an advertisement for a website rather than a joke. Since a meme's whole purpose is to be reposted and shared, carrying someone else's logo through every repost is a genuine problem. Everything you make here is clean.

Tips & common problems
Shorter is funnier
Long captions shrink to fit and get skimmed past. The format rewards a few punchy words, and anything approaching a sentence usually needs cutting.
Watch the busy areas
White outlined text handles most backgrounds, but a cluttered, high-contrast region can still swallow it. Position captions over calmer parts of the image.
Resize before posting
Platforms compress large uploads and can soften your text. Resizing to roughly the display size first keeps the lettering crisp.
Mind the copyright
Meme templates circulate freely, but the underlying photographs often belong to somebody. Personal sharing is one thing; commercial use is a different question.
