Privacy Policy

QuickieTool is a service operated by Muhammad Zaheer Ud Din Babar (Peshawar, Pakistan), the data controller for the purposes of this policy.

This Privacy Policy explains how Muhammad Zaheer Ud Din Babar (“QuickieTool”, “we”, “us”) collects, uses and protects information when you use QuickieTool (the “Service”) at https://quickietool.com. By using the Service you agree to the practices described here.

1. Your files

Most QuickieTool tools (such as Merge, Split, Rotate and JPG to PDF) run entirely inside your browser. For those tools your documents are never uploaded to us — the processing happens on your own device and the file never leaves it.

Some tools marked “Server” (such as Compress, PDF to JPG, PDF to Word and Word to PDF) need to send your file to our backend to be processed. In that case the file is used only to perform the conversion you requested, is held in temporary memory or storage for the duration of processing, and is not retained, logged, shared or sold afterwards. We do not inspect the contents of your documents.

2. Information we collect

  • Account data (optional): every tool works without an account. If you choose to create one, we store your email address, an optional first name, and a securely hashed password — never the password itself — so you can sign in and view your usage dashboard.
  • Usage data: for each tool run we record which tool was used, when, how many files were involved and their total size — never filenames and never any part of the file contents. If you are signed in, that record is linked to your account so it can appear on your dashboard. If you are not signed in, it is stored with no user attached and cannot be traced back to you.
  • Technical data: standard server logs (e.g. IP address, browser type, timestamps) kept briefly for security and abuse prevention.

3. Cookies and advertising

We use cookies for essential functionality and, with your consent, for analytics and advertising. This site is supported by advertising served through Google AdSense, and we measure visits using Google Analytics.

Google Analytics tells us which pages are read and roughly where visitors come from, so we know what to write and what to fix. It is configured to shorten IP addresses before they are stored, we do not use it to build advertising audiences, and it is loaded only after you accept non-essential cookies. Reject them and it is never requested.

  • Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites.
  • Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this and/or other sites on the Internet.
  • You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. You can also opt out of some third-party vendors’ use of cookies at aboutads.info/choices.
  • You can reject non-essential cookies using the banner shown on your first visit. If you do, we stop loading advertising code on this site, so no further advertising cookies are set. To remove cookies already stored, or to change your choice, clear this site's data in your browser.
  • If you are in the EEA, UK or Switzerland, personalized advertising requires consent collected through a Google-certified consent management platform. We have not integrated one yet, so we do not serve personalized advertising to visitors in these regions. The banner described above is our own notice-and-choice layer, not a certified consent platform. Should we enable personalized advertising in these regions, we will deploy a certified platform first and update this policy to say so.

4. How we use information

We use the information above to operate and secure the Service, to process the files you submit to server-side tools, to understand aggregate usage, to prevent abuse and rate-limit excessive requests, and to display advertising that keeps the Service free.

5. Data retention

Uploaded files for server-side tools are discarded after processing. Account data is kept until you ask us to delete it. Server logs are retained only as long as needed for security and then removed.

6. Legal basis for processing (GDPR)

If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, we process personal data on the following bases:

  • Performance of a contract — processing the file you submitted to a server-side tool, and running your account if you created one. Without this we cannot deliver the thing you asked for.
  • Legitimate interests — keeping the Service secure, rate-limiting abuse, and understanding aggregate tool usage so we know what to improve.
  • Consent — advertising and analytics cookies. You give this through our cookie banner and can withdraw it at any time by clearing the banner choice or using the opt-out links in section 3. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing already carried out.
  • Legal obligation — where we must retain or disclose information to comply with applicable law.

7. Your rights, and how to delete your data

Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR or the CCPA/CPRA), you may have the right to access, correct, export or delete your personal data, to object to or restrict certain processing, and not to be discriminated against for exercising those rights.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising in the sense defined by the CCPA/CPRA. We have never done so, and we do not accept payment for access to visitor data.

To request access to or deletion of your account and its associated usage history, email [email protected] from the address you signed up with, or use the contact page. We will confirm and action the request within 30 days. Deleting your account removes your email address, name and usage history; the aggregate counts that remain cannot be traced back to you. Because uploaded files are discarded immediately after processing, there is never a stored document for us to delete.

8. Children’s privacy

The Service is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age in your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect their personal data.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the “Last updated” date above.
