About Invoice Generator

Invoice Generator turns a short form into a clean, professional A4 PDF invoice. Add your business details and logo, the client you are billing, your line items, and any tax or discount — the totals are calculated as you type, and the finished invoice downloads as a PDF ready to email.

Freelancers, tutors, small shops and new businesses often need to send an invoice long before they need accounting software. Building one in a word processor works, but it is easy to leave a stale total from last month or misalign a column of figures. Here the arithmetic is done for you: each line multiplies quantity by rate, the subtotal adds them up, a discount comes off, and tax is applied to what remains.

Your business name, address and chosen currency are remembered in this browser, so the next invoice starts already filled in. Nothing you type is uploaded — the PDF is assembled on your own device — which matters when an invoice carries bank details and client addresses.

The layout follows what clients and accountants expect to see: who it is from and to, an invoice number, the issue and due dates, an itemised table, a clear total due, and a notes area for payment instructions such as a bank account or payment link.

How to create an invoice

  1. Enter your business name and contact details, and add a logo if you have one.
  2. Fill in the client’s name and address under Bill to.
  3. Set the invoice number, dates and currency.
  4. Add a line for each product or service with its quantity and rate.
  5. Enter tax and any discount, add payment notes, then click Download invoice PDF.

Tips & common problems

Number invoices in sequence

Use a consistent series such as INV-0001, INV-0002. Sequential numbers make payments easy to match and are expected by tax authorities in many countries.

Put payment details in the notes

Bank name, account title, IBAN or a payment link in the notes box means the client can pay without writing back to ask how.

Set a due date the client can see

A clear due date — 7, 14 or 30 days is typical — gets invoices paid faster than “payable on receipt” buried in small print.

Discount is a fixed amount

Enter the discount as an amount in your currency, not a percentage. It is taken off the subtotal before tax is calculated.

Frequently asked questions

Is this invoice generator really free?

Yes. There is no sign-up, no watermark and no limit on how many invoices you create.

Can I add my company logo?

Yes. Add a PNG or JPG logo and it is placed in the top-left corner of the invoice, scaled to fit.

Which currencies are supported?

PKR, USD, EUR, GBP, AED, SAR, INR, CAD and AUD. The symbol or code is shown before every amount.

How is tax calculated?

Tax is applied to the subtotal after the discount: (subtotal − discount) × tax rate. The breakdown is printed on the invoice.

Can I write the invoice in Urdu or Arabic?

Not yet. The PDF uses a standard Latin font, so non-Latin characters are replaced. English and other Western European languages work fully.

Is my information stored anywhere?

Only in your own browser — your business details and currency are remembered locally for next time. Nothing is sent to our server.
