Sign PDF lets you draw your signature with a mouse, trackpad or finger and place it anywhere on the document, then download the signed file. No printing, no scanning, no account. It runs entirely in your browser, so the contract never leaves your device.
The alternative is genuinely absurd when you write it down: print a digital document onto paper, sign the paper, photograph or scan it back into a digital document, then throw the paper away. That round trip costs twenty minutes and needs a printer, and it degrades the file — the returned copy is a photograph of a page rather than crisp text, usually several times larger and no longer searchable.
Signing directly keeps the document pristine. Your signature is added as an element on the page while everything else stays as the original text it always was. This suits the everyday agreements most people deal with: rental applications, permission slips, freelance contracts, delivery acceptances, NDAs. For these, a drawn signature plus a date is the normal and accepted practice, and it produces a far more professional-looking file than a crooked scan.
