Most PDF editing is not rewriting a document — it is adding to one. Filling in a form that was never made fillable. Initialling a page. Circling the clause you want your colleague to look at. Dropping a logo onto a certificate. Crossing out a line and writing the correct figure beside it. These are annotation jobs, and they are what this editor is built for.
It is worth being clear about the boundary, because it sets expectations correctly. Reflowing an existing paragraph the way you would in Word is not something any PDF editor does well, since the format stores positioned glyphs rather than editable sentences. If you need to genuinely rewrite body text, converting with PDF to Word and editing there gives a much better result. If you need to add, mark up or sign, stay here — it is faster and nothing about the original layout gets disturbed.

Tips & common problems
Highlighting is not redacting
A black rectangle drawn over text only covers it visually — the words underneath are still in the file and can be selected or extracted. To genuinely remove sensitive content, use Redact instead. This catches people out constantly.
Match the page's existing font
Filling in a form looks far more convincing when your added text is a similar size and style to the printed text around it. Zoom in and compare before committing.
Zoom in for precise placement
Positioning at fitted-page zoom looks fine on screen and lands slightly off when printed. Zooming to 150% or more before placing text makes alignment much more accurate.
Large documents render slowly
The whole file is processed in your browser, so a long, image-heavy PDF takes a moment to open. Extract just the pages you need first if the editor feels sluggish.
